Job seekers may have gotten a vote of confidence with this past month’s jobs report, as the unemployment rate dropped 0.4 percentage points to 9.4 percent, the lowest it has been in the past 19 months.
The Department of Labor announced that there were more than 103,000 jobs created during the month of December, which could be good news for people who are thinking about getting into the job market.
However, while this is a good sign, employment searching takes both time and effort. It may be a good idea for individuals to already have a field in mind to narrow down the search prospects. One way to determine which career is the right path is to take a career test.
Career tests examine a number of personality traits and interests in order to determine a potential career path that could be right for the test taker. Some of the characteristics the exam measures include leadership, assertiveness, imagination, creativity, sociability and cautiousness. These qualities can help determine the kinds of jobs one might excel in thanks to their inherent traits.
