Unemployment rate falls to 8.9 percent

The unemployment rate continues its downward tick

While many people may have toughed out a job they didn’t like in order to keep a steady paycheck, as the market starts to improve, more individuals may be considering a career aptitude test in order to determine exactly which industry they are best suited for, therefore making them the happiest they could be in a work setting.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the unemployment rate dropped below 9 percent for the first time in nearly two years, an indication that the market is continuing its improvement since being rocked by the market crash in 2008.

The report found that there were 192,000 jobs created during the month of February, a significant increase from January’s figures, which only grew by 36,000 jobs. Still, there are more than 13.7 million Americans who are still out of a job.

Those who are looking to use this job creation to their benefit by looking for new employment may want to consider taking a free career test. Finding out one’s professional strengths could help lead them into a profession that will suit their needs the most.
