Taking a personality test can help couples work out problems

If couples take personality tests, it may help them understand each other better.

According to a recent article in The Wall Street Journal, many arguments among couples arise because one individual is an extrovert while the other is an introvert. While most people think that introverts are shy and extroverts are outgoing, the difference between the two is actually in the way that they process information.

Psychologists state that introverts get their energy internally, while extroverts need to get energy externally. Therefore, it is possible for introverts to be outgoing and for extroverts to be shy.

Health Leader reports that extroverts may enjoy activities that involve interacting with groups and are stimulated by having other people around them. However, introverts would find it more enjoyable to participate in private activities, such as listening to music, reading a book or working on a solo project.

In order to cope with their differences, the news outlet recommends that couples try taking a personality test online. If people are more aware of their partners’ characteristics and how they communicate, it will be easier to sort things out when problems arise.
